Combat Revamp / Alpha-0.1.108 Change Log

  • Big combat system re-work
    • Player attacks and animations updated
    • Heavy Attack changes
      • There is now a "Hold" heavy attack that does huge damage but has a long wind up
      • Heavy attack will ignore blocking enemies.
      • Heavy attack combo chain has been removed (NOTE: Previously, heavy attacks were a counter to blocking enemies but didn't really serve much other purpose).
    • Blocking
      • Players can now block and perform counter moves. 
        • Blocking will cost stamina unless activated just before  being an attack
        • When stamina is depleted blocking will not work
        • Block counter move "Guard Break" can now break through blocking enemies. 
      • Blocking enemies now use stamina and can not block indefinitely. 
      • Not all attacks can be blocked. Unblockable attacks are indicated by an alert over the attacker when being used
    • Dodge changes
      • Some enemies can always dodge some attacks (so long as there is enough room).
      • Added a Tap Heavy "bash" attack that can debuff enemies so they cannot dodge for a short duration
    • Fatality system changes
      • Fatality attacks now have a cooldown and random chance to be used instead of having its own resource bar and input key/button.
      • Enemies now have a minimum health threshold before a fatality can be used on them.
      • Improved the animation syncing and visuals of most fatalities
      • Some changes to the tech tree buffs
  • Added an in-game Controls reference
